This morning I got up with the sole intention of breaking 100k miles in my super awesome 1997 Mercedes Benz SL600 Sport. One of 806 SL600 cars built in 1997, and one of less than 5300 cars worldwide that share the SL600 name in the R129 platform.
But I woke up early and went to Cars & Coffee first.
This was a Polara Custom Wagon. Brown on gold with a dual action rear door. 440 motor with a 4 barrel and it was such a sexy beast. By far won me over as soon as I saw it.
So !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (Wrong_Wheel_Drive_NOT), we set off for the Chatterbox, to break 100k miles in the SL, taking the best twisty back roads planned out to be exactly the distance needed to hit 100k in the parking lot of The Chatterbox Drive In Diner, one of the best automotive attractions NJ has to have offer.

The plan backfired just slightly, but after three laps around the building, the number was hit. We parked, ate, and then headed up to High Point, in an effort to verify it was both cold and windy. Beautiful view, but again, cold and windy.
Now it's off to bed, for another Cars & Coffee adventure in the morning!
